Electric Cars Were On The Road In 1912

Not only were electric cars on the road in 1912, as seen in this ad for “The Car Supreme” from The Columbus Buggy Company, but electric cars first hit the road as early as the mid-1800’s. The technology is there and has been with us for well over a century. Considering the high price of gas and the externalities not included at the pump (i.e. climate change, resource wars, pollution, oil spills, etc.), isn’t it odd we still power our cars with gasoline?
