The eZee Torq is the lightest of our full size eZee ebikes. At 49-1/2 lbs with the Li-Ion battery pack or 52 lbs for the NiMH version, it was designed to feel as much like a pedal bike as possible. The eZee Torq has a slightly less powerful motor then our eZee Sprint or Cadence electric bikes but will perform very similar due to its lighter design. The eZee Torq will also burn up batteries at a slower rater giving you an even greater range then the high power models.
The Torq motor is smaller in diameter than other eZee electric hub-motors, and really sharp looking too. Battery options are 9AH/NiMH and 10AH/Li-Ion. No other manufacturer offers energy sets in this configuration, weight and performance.
The 8-speed Derailor setup in combination with the electric system will pull you up the steepest hills without much effort, and yes – Torq stands for Torque. The motor is rated at a quite impressive 500 watt peak and 250 watt continuous. Acceleration is silk smooth and steadily continues all the way up to 20 mph, higher speeds can easily be achieved by pedaling since there is no resistance from the hub motor.
700c x 45 wheels give the eZee Torq that Euro look and feel. This electric bike is made to eat up miles, perfect for those long bike trails across the country, a 50 mile commute or doing loops in Central Park (my favorite).
As all of our eZeebikes we include fenders, lights and a rear rack. All you need is a bike lock and maybe a cover if you are planning to park the bike outdoors.
