BikeMania has established a relationship with a master bike builder, with 27 years of experience, to build an affordable custom made Recumbent Comfort Trike to meet the needs of our customers.
This is a lightweight 34 lb. trike. Frames are made of High Tensile Steel and powder coated. Steering is accomplished with under-the-seat easy reach handlebars. Pedaling is slightly downward at approximately ten degrees from horizontal, creating a very comfortable seating and pedaling combination. Grip shifting is flawless and index shifting provides definite gear selection and confirmation. Braking is excellent due to the heavy duty type V-Brakes. Stopping is absolutely no problem! The Comfort Trike design adds to frame for stability, decreases the amount of flex and increases the transmission of your peddling power. This results in better acceleration and stronger frame design.The standard design will accomodate riders up to 225 lbs. If you need a more heavy duty frame that can support up to 300 lbs., then the reinforced design is for you. The reinforced design is also suited for those with specific physical challenges. The basic frame, tubing, and drive train have been proven over the course of the 27 years of research and development - a classic design with a minimum of moving parts that contributes to strength, beauty, comfort and to top it off, lightweight.
